NDTV Lumière, the initiative of NDTV Imagine to bring world cinema to Indian audiences, unveiled its first offering - the theatrical release of The Orphanage. The critically acclaimed Spanish film, produced by Guillermo Del Toro, which has won over 28 international awards was premiered on Thursday, 29 May at PVR Cinemas, Juhu in Mumbai.

Pantaloons Femina Miss India Contest witnessed a lot of celebs from bollywood on its final. While Diya Mirza and Madhvan hosted the show, Katrina Kaif crowned the winners of the contest. Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, and Sameera Reddy set the stage on fire with their performances. Others present were Saif Ali Khan, Shamak Dabar and Tabu.

53rd Fairone Filmfare Awards was organized at the YashRaj Studios in Mumbai. Below is the list of some main awards.

• Best Actress : Kareena Kapoor (Jab We Meet).
• Best Female Debutante : Deepila Padukone (Om Shanti Om ).
• Best Male Debutant : Ranbir Kapoor (Saawariya).

Besides these main awards, Rishi Kapoor was given lifetime achievement award and Deepika Padukone was awarded as Fresh Face of the Year.
