Just when the industry believed that 3 Idiots had set records which would be stay for a long time, box office Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan’s MY NAME IS KHAN looks set to break it just six weeks later!
Despite having a limited release in Maharashtra, Gujarat and parts of Madhya Pradesh on Friday, MNIK’s worldwide box office collections are estimated at Rs. 25 crores for Friday! This is the highest ever collections for a non-holiday Friday in Bollywood history. Seems SRK may give some boost to Sherlyn’s career or may be she’s gonna bring some luck to the Kolkata Knight Riders as King Khan has asked the hottie to be her guest for all IPL matches.
She’ll be is going places. Literally! For starters, it will be Kolkata. And, from mid-March to end April, the sexy Bollywood starlet will be zipping across the country in the distinguished company of Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan.
The two met on Saturday when Shah Rukh announced his official alliance with an innerwear brand to manufacture and market clothing merchandise for his team. Sherlyn, who bumped into SRK backstage, politely asked if she might be his team’s official cheer leader during the cricket extravaganza. But SRK gallantly replied that he would rather have the sexy siren as his guest seated in the VVIP box during the matches. That’s that. And may Sherlyn Chopra bring SRK’s team the good luck that it so desperately was denied in the first two seasons of the popular Twenty20 event.

The escalating tension took a celeb toll. And SRK crumbled under the stress of the Sena communal ire, breaking down at a Press con.His apology, however, was a far cry from the expected. “I am really sorry,” Khan told an eager media.”I would like to apologise to Kajol, Karan Johar and our business partners. The film is going to be affected because of what I said. ‘My Name Is Khan,’ is not my film alone. It has Kajol, Karan ( Johar) and 150 other people whose livelihood depends upon it.”
King Khan, though, categorically refused apologising to the Sena. “I have done nothing wrong in saying what I did about the Pakistani players, and I said that as an Indian.” Amid super tight security at the airport and at ‘Mannat’, SRK strode right back to Mumbai.

Shahrukh is currently in the midst of a controversy over his comments on inclusion of Pakistani players in the IPL (Indian Premier League) cricket matches.
Apparently, Shahrukh refused to retract his statements and that has further irked Shiv Sena. There is high probability that they might create trouble during the screening of his movie ‘My Name is Khan’.
Subsequently, congress party favored Shahrukh Khan and assured him of a peaceful release of the movie, but now even Bollywood is coming out in favor of B-town badshah Shahrukh Khan.
And the man leading the support cause is none other than superstar Salman Khan who openly cited that Shahrukh Khan had not done any crime by stating so and being an owner of one the IPL teams he had the rights to comment.
