Former Miss India-World and one of the bollywood top actress Celina Jaitley could have been one of the victims of the horrific Mumbai attacks had it not been for her lateness.

“It’s incredible. I felt I shouldn’t be going all the way to south Mumbai. On the way, I changed the venue,” she says. “Barely an hour after I reached Four Seasons, the first news about what was going on in the city began filtering in. And to think that I could have been there too! I don’t even want to think about it.”

“There was panic as news spread that five-star hotels were being targeted. We really didn’t know what was going on and where. All the diners at Four Seasons were told to stay put and the area around the hotel was cordoned off.”

“But I was glued to the TV all night. I couldn’t sleep a wink. My dad was in a state of panic and kept on calling from Lebanon wondering what was happening to all of us! Throughout our ordeal, I was continuously in touch with my family and friends.”Good Luck Celina!!!!!!

Director, Vishal Bharadwaj says, “We were shooting a traffic jam scene for Kaminey at Horniman Circle, which is a couple of minutes away from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST).

We crossed CST at 9.45 pm and headed for the circle. While the men were putting up the lights, we heard firing and explosions close by. We decided to cancel the shoot immediately around 10.30 pm and head home. Shahid left a little ahead of me.”

The whole Mumbai is down because of the terrorizing acts, lets hope it gets back to normal again.

The Maharashtra government on Thursday ordered cinema managements to suspend screening of films under further orders as the film industry ground to a halt following the terror strike in the city that has left at least 101 people dead.

The Maharashtra government has issued an order directing managements of both single screen theatres and multiplexes to suspend the screening of movies until further orders as a security measure.

“We have decided to close the industry for a day as a mark of tribute to those innocent people who died due to indiscriminate firings by the terrorists and to the police officers and constables who fell to their bullets during the shootout. We condemn the heinous act,” a joint statement issued by all the associations of the film industry said.

The most audacious terror strike in the city began on Wednesday night, when militants attacked high profile landmarks in the city, including the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel, the Metro Theatre and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station.
